Must read voor moeders
Geschreven bij The Baby on the Fire Escape
Een must read voor (aanstaande) moeders, artistiek of niet. Want het valt niet mee om moeder te zijn. De verhalen over beroemde kunstenaressen/schrijfsters en hun relatie met moederschap is een steun in de rug. Je voelt je niet meer zo alleen met jouw worsteling. Ik wou dat dat boek er was geweest toen ik 33 jaar geleden mijn eerste kind kreeg. Het zet de boel in perspectief en geeft je veel om overna te denken. Lees het in het oorspronkelijke Engels, want deze schrijfster (Amerikaanse woonachtig in Amsterdam) heeft een sublieme pen.
